The Information Society

The importance of life long learning, digital citizenship and the development of personal and networked learning environments can be understood in the context of the so-called later modern, post fordist ‘information society’. An understanding of these aspects of advanced modern societies is crucial for individuals and organisations who wish to prosper, maximise their opportunities or simply survive. I will endeavour to outline the basic ideas here in due course.
