Jimmy Wales’ Wikipedia comes close to Britannica in terms of the accuracy of its science entries, a Nature investigation finds.
I found this interesting and follows some posts an ideas I wrote about before including a post on the idea that a variety of accredited versions of Wikipedia could be constructed by various interested organisations including Universities on the basis of expert vetting. This would involve a process similar to that undertaken by Nature to compare science articles in Wikipedia and Britannica. Perhaps a collaborative retirement project for some of us?!
